Screenshots of the celebrations at Tiger Stadium following their defeat of the "unbeatable" NY Yankees in the best-of-five Amercian League Division Series:
As a diehard Angels fan, I could not be gloating more. All of a sudden, I kinda like the Tigers, even if it's only till Oct. :o)
Great post!
WOO-HOO! Congrats to the Detroit Tigers who showed real class in including their fans in their celebration. (And thank you from the bottom of our hearts for eliminating the Yankees!)
nutmeg & zelig (Red Sox fans)
PS: Thanks for the ping, Yossarian!
ping!
OH yeah...
Evil in a Yankee cap.
WATCH "THE HILLARY CURSE", ALREADY POSTED ON YOUTUBE It might be nice to leave a stinging anti-Hillary comment. :)
Detroit was the better team. Add to that the Yankees had no pitching to speak of in the playoffs, and their bats went cold.
Look for significant changes in the Yankee lineup...
Finally-the-Tigers-bring-victory-back-to-the-Motor-City PING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy for you guys bump! :)
Way to go Jeremy! Way to go Tigers!
I guess 200 million doesnt by you a title these days
BLESS YOU BOYS!!!!!!
Leyland is the man!!!!!! I've got a feeling this won't be the last time we see the Tigers celebrating. They've got that destiny thing working. Maybe getting swept by the Royals was the kick in the behind they needed for the playoffs.
The right Tigers (Detroit) won, and the right Tigers (LSU) lost.
What a great day!!!!
Good for them!!!!!!!! Now go and get the pennant(which I think you guys will). For those who happened to be there in person----LUCKY YOU!!!!!!
That was a celebration for the ages. Great that the guys went out there to be with the fans. Great for Jim Leyland for winning the series. Savor this Tigger fans---things like this tend to be fleeting!!!!!!!
Thoughts for the ALCS!!!!!!
----Will go the distance(7). Every game fairly low scoring AND close(Both these teams pitch madly good).
----Each team shut out once.
----Each team wins twice on the road. But Detroits second road win is game 7 and that's ALL that really matters.
This will be fun to watch----ENJOY!!!!
Got THAT right! I wonder how much Georgie will pony up for next year's payroll... $250 million?
Anyone else annoyed at how ESPN is covering this story? Their entire angle seems to be how the Yankees lost this series and what they need to do for next year - most of the blame on the Yankees going to you know who....
How about some credit for the Tigers, especially the pitching the last two games?
I saw that....and KR's performance yesterday was absolutely incredible,,,==never seen anything like his curve balls before
