Ok Seriously.
I've never been a fan of the guy, but wow did Rogers look sharp tonight. 7 2/3, 0 runs, 8K. He really had something to prove tonight and did he ever.
A-Fraud AKA Mr March, went 0-3 and is batting .125 for the series.
Watching the Yankees lose NEVER GETS OLD!
Right but the game would have been tied with the Twins still batting. Who knows what would have happened.
LOL... wow, you're good. You've managed to sell some "interesting" stuff on eBay. ;-D
Yep... we Red Sox and Mets fans gotta stick together! :o)
OK ...I did an FR search on "hillary curse" and here is the link:

So darn!!!! You beat me by a day. Although I think my reasoning was alot more creative. LOL!
And you get to watch it in the post season from an empty Fenway Park. Enjoy.
yea.. even if they would have won that game(highly doubtful) they would still be down 2-1
As someone that found it well deserved to have Mariner's fans, of which I'm one, toss fake bills at A-Rod when he left for the Rangers..sorry, don't really care about Yankees upsets with him. He may not be the "clutch" player they want, but let's be honest, they are just using him as a scapegoat for George's money not being able to buy them a world series for years. His personality may not endear him, but he's serviceable at least and given they got SHUTOUT with that batting lineup? They should all be embarrassed. A-Rod was just one of the number tonight, including Mr. Yankee.
And I loved every moment of it.
Rogers picthed a phenomenal game tonight. Randy wasn't bad considering his injuries but his club let him down. But Rogers became the one to watch this game and I was disappointed when he was pulled 72/3rd through the way he was giving the yanks fits.
Is it possible that there is a new curse in the baseball world
We have all heard of the curse of the goat and now perhaps the curse of bartman causing the cubs to lose and never win a championship ever again.
And of course we've all heard of the curse of the Bambino where after the Boston Red Sox traded Babe Ruth they have never again won a world Championship.
But could there now be a new curse
Yes. A Hillary Curse.
Think about it. The Yankees won 4 out of 5 world championships from 1996 thru 2000. In October of 2000 the yankees won there last championship and I ask you what happened the very next month in November of 2000. The state of New York (lead by many new york city voters) voted to make Hillary Clinton their Senator and ever since then the Yankees have failed to win a single championship again.
I for one believe the Hillary Curse may be real!
Nice to see the baseball threads that were so silent from the All Star break on come back to life.

When I was a kid I remember reading a book that was co-written by a kid that was a batboy for the 1968 Cardinals. He was heartbroken by that lost.

DFU SONG: Lodi (Yankees feel the Hillary Curse)

MIDI - LODI - look under Creedence Clearwater
It was three years ago...New Yorkers had cast their vote
That is when bad luck started...historians will note
Your Yankees won't win again...she brought bad karma, you see
It is The Curse of Hillary
She's from the depths of hell...the FReepers were warning you
She is an evil presence...what are you gonna do
Your Yankees won't win again...she brought bad karma, you see
It is The Curse of Hillary
Cubbie fans fought the goat...it just wouldn't go away
Bronx Bombers have been reeling...they don't know what to say
Your Yankees won't win again...she brought bad karma, you see
It is The Curse of Hillary
Year after year you'll find...your team will be going down
There is but one solution...to banish her from town
Your Yankees won't win again...she brought bad karma, you see
It is The Curse of Hillary...it is The Curse of Hillary
Nearly every announcer and announcerette seems to love to hype the Yanquis. I already hated the Yanquis but add in the butt loving commentators and I really despise them. Tim McCarver can burn in liberal hell.
I didn't lose a nano-second grieving as the Yanquis lost Game 2 Friday and I will chuckle as they lose Game 3 Saturday.
I like the Tigers and the Cards for the World Series with the Tigers taking it all.
Thankfully after that, I've got the Ken Burns series to get me thru 4 months before Spring Trng; I live in Florida so I can get my baseball back in March, even in February.
"The A's are now the favorite to win it all."
Dream on. The A's will lose to the Tigers in Round two.
As a loyal Royals fan I never thought I would be rooting for the Tigers :-) Go Tigers.
On a sad note, negro baseball legend and Kansas City hero, Buck O'Neil passed away tonight. Espn has a nice tribute to him. RIP Buck.

It is indeed sad. He probably couldn't handle what David Glass has done to your team anymore.
"Yes, I'm a life long Sox fan and post season MFY loses are espcially sweet."
I'm making a rash assumption as to what you mean by "MF" but I will just say that my own term is "FY's." I imagine we're on the same page, just a different paragraph.
I can't handle what Glass has done. Him and his son have no business in baseball. Maybe Dayton Moore will get things turned around if they leave him alone. He's made some good moves so far.
"When to you claim to have invented the Hillary Curse? Please show me the post."
Way to go DFU!!! Plagiarists beware!!
There are obviously a lot of baseball fans out in the ether tonight and I'm one of those. Let me pitch out a question. Assuming the Giants release Bighead Bonds (I think they will), will Georgie Porgie pick him up for star value even though he's a liability in the field and a liability as DH vs. their other options?
