Someone who I work with claims that Bush said god told him to attack iraq, i cannot find any transcript that says this. Is one of those case that " Iheard him say" with no evidence?

He said he prayed on it because it was such a big decision. But no, he did not say God told him to attack Iraq.
Of course many liberals will tell you that by praying you are somehow a crazy person so consider where they are coming from.

With the embedded verb "attack", the comment is disingenuous, and sounds like it from 'rats or the MSM.
The action in Iraq was defensive in nature, since it was in response to what Saddam had been doing/not-doing over the years as well as fighting terrorism within a terrorism magnet that was not on US soil.

This is commonly misreported.
Actually, God told him to pick up some milk and a loaf of bread at the store, and then casually mentioned that He thought the war in Iraq sounded like a good idea.
Bush, distracted while writing down his shopping list, misinterpreted God's instructions and wrote down "start war in Iraq!"
Are you clear on this now?
