I don't know what you are talking about.
"Perfectly stated. My voice is hoarse from arguing with FReepers who constantly pull out the tinfoil hat slam against those of us who have been warning about this for months."
It's amazing how many people show up on these threads trying to convince us that this isn't really happening and failing in that switch to a "this is good for America" line. Many of these posters aren't native Americans and don't really care about this country in my opinion. We have been infested.
From what I've read, Spain will have a contract to control the superhighway. Please, correct me if I'm mistaken....
Yes, but Spain is expressly forbidden to station troops or construct fortifactions along the route.
I agree with you. Something's up. No American would agree to splitting this great nation into sections.
But, then again, there are FReepers who hire illegal aliens.
oops . . . fortifications
And then, there are others that think roads shouldn't be built because they provide invasion routes for the Chinese Army.
Actually, the "dirty work" is the construction of the road itself. And you (if you are a resident of Texas) should be glad that you've found someone to pay for it up front, instead of waiting for a politician to raise yor taxes for it.
Spain has nothing to do with TTC 35 in Texas. Cintra is a company based in Spain that builds and/or operates toll roads around the world. Cintra's parent company is in Portugal.
The kooks are throwing out a lot of mis-info that you shouldn't believe.
I found a fitting image for that, just gotta figure out how to get it.
I'm talking about hwy 28 between Fort Polk and Elec. Our tax dollars built that section. It also goes from the FP turn off to Leesville. Our tax dollars. And the 'corridor' is NOT paid with tax dollars......
The first El Camino Real ran from the Spanish town of Nacodoches in east Texas, thru San Antonio, into New Spain. It was also known as the Old San Antonio Road.
Is it a toll road?
Their next line will be...'WorldNutDaily' reported this story, blah, blah, blah.
This is a time honored tactic by many. It is extremely effective in keeping certain topics off the table for discussion. I often wonder if the skepticism is genuine or affected.
I noticed. Early bird.
The CFR never sleeps, my Bircher friend.
The project involved widening 7.63 miles of road- way on La. 28, from its intersection with La. 8 to the intersection of La. 121. The scope of the project was to add to two travel lanes and a median to the existing two-lane roadway, creating a four-lane divided high- way. The existing pavement also was replaced. This project is the second project of six to be com- pleted along the La. 8/La. 28 corridor between U.S. 171 in Vernon Parish and Bayou Boeuf in Rapides Parish. More than 40 miles will be widened in the complete project; currently, it is 30 percent complete.
The road between Leesville and Alexandria is now completed.
Is it a toll road?
No...not yet. Wearing seat belts was voluntary at one time, remember. Illegal aliens used to mean you were a criminal, now it just means you have more rights than an American citizen. Things aren't always what they seem to appear to mean
