I have an Internet-related question.

I want to look up all of the domains registered to a particular registratnt. Can this be done by using a WhoIS web site or through some other available search engine or other means?

Thanks much for any help.

Start with http://www.samspade.com
It gives several search engines for WHOIS searches.

Another is WHOIS at Network Solutions

How do I search for a specific Registrar?

To search for a specific Registrar, you must enter the full name of the Registrar.

Additionally, if the Registrar Name ends with an "Inc.", you must add an
"f [space]" prefix to that Registrar Name.

For example, to search for "XYZ Registrar, Inc.", you would use the following text to perform your search:

f  XYZ Registrar, Inc.

If the Registrar Name does not end with "Inc.", the "f [space]" prefix is not necessary.

For example, to search for "ABC Registrar", you would use the following text to perform your search:

ABC Registrar

To search for Registrar Names that begin with a certain letter (or letters), a "." is used as a wildcard and placed immediately after the letter (or letters) on which you would like to search.

For example, to search for Registrar Names that begin with "XYZ", you would use the following text to perform your search: XYZ.

Here's the main page:

If you know the invidiuals NIC handle you can search on that. It should be part of their domain WHOIS record.

This may not solve your particular question, but this is the best site so far I've found to look all sorts of things up: http://www.dnsstuff.com/

The site that FReepaholic linked, http://www.whois.us/ does not seem to search by registrant. It does search by, and for, registrars.

For example, I can find my site, pauljackson.us (no web server there - not supposed to be) by searching for either of:

Domain Name PAULJACKSON.US
Registrant ID 8649F3CB8E7B9F7E
But I can not find it searching for Paul Jackson. I can find the Registrar of this site (but not the site itself) by searching for
Registrar f ENOM, INC.
