It seems to me that the lethal beliefs are anything but Christian.

Those who voluntarily reduce their fecundity never affect the overall birthrate. They just disappear in a few generations.

Eventually, too high a birth rate could constitute a problem. But the current evidence indicates that better lifestyles tend to reduce the number of children born in each family, with each one having an increased likelihood of survival.

In some parts of the world, the destruction of family values has led to a concomitant destruction of families. Go figure.
