Candidate forced to talk about arrest ( Culture of Corruption )

The race to represent part of southwestern Colorado in the state Capitol is getting a little rough.

In a debate this month, he brought up the arrest record of his opponent, Telluride Democrat Brian Ahern.

Ahern was arrested in June after an argument with his fiancé. He allegedly slashed her picture with a knife and broke the windshield of her car.

He was also arrested last year after arguing with a woman from Texas in Telluride but the charges were later dropped.

This letter was sent to Colorado House District 58 candidate Brian Ahern and the Telluride Daily News for publication as requested by Mr. Heirich.

Dear Mr. Ahern,
I have watched as you have lied, bullied and intimidated in your quest to be our Representative of Colorado House District 58.
I have endured you calling me a pedophile, a registered sex offender, a whacko sex job, a child pornographer. I have endured you making fun of a spinal defect I have, referring to me as a homosexual, and belittling the work I do to assist Veterans, Active Duty personnel and their families.

I have read and listened to you tell bold face lies in regards to this issue which has buried you deep into an abyss of continuing dishonesty.
So deep that you now feel the need to make me the issue in your campaign.

I have only requested two things from you, both dependent on your character. I have requested a retraction of your email statements and I have requested that you turn over the "news sources" which you state as sources for your libel.
You have refused. That is your choice. I also told you that I would use every legal resource at my disposal to combat your libel.

You have made a fool of yourself to our mutual acquaintances, blamed Ray Rose for our disagreement, verbally abused my wife, threatened me, lied and made our personal disagreement a public affair - all because you are either too proud to retract your statements or you feel a need to cover the "news sources" you blame for your lies.

I will continue to use all legal means of all my resources to insure that, if you continue to spread the vile filth you have and refuse my two requests, it will be necessary to combat you with the simple fact that you are a liar, an immoral individual and man who lacks any redeeming character.

When you think of the mess you have made in regards to this issue, one can only wonder who in their right mind would vote for you to lead our State.
