I saw where every Saints game is sold out this year. Where did these "poor" people get the money for football season tickets when they have no home, no job and no income?

NFL football games are not a very good place to see a representative sample of the local population.

Most of those "poor" watched the game on their new 52" plasmas bought by FEFA.

I'm guessing the poor people weren't at the game, it was probably the well-off ones that attended.

There still is considerable disposable income the New Orleans area. I bet most in attendance were from north of the lake and the greater Baton Rouge area.
From the Saints performance last night, I would expect them do well this year. I would be nice to see them get in to the play offs once in the franchise's history.

From 1st hand knowledge, a lot of tickets are bought by the players and "donated" to community organzations. The team front office has a full time person dedicated to "giving" these tickets away. Mostly they are for YMCA and other type organizations but in a city like NO it could be different.
I'm guessing that a lot of Corporate Donations paid for the tickets in order to fill the seats.

"Where did these "poor" people get the money for football season tickets "Didn't you get the Thank You note? YOU (the taxpayer) helped pay for them through FEMA handouts to the "disenfranchised, forgotten, poor people of the 9th Ward".....

Where did these "poor" people get the money for football season tickets when they have no home, no job and no income? Methinks some big biz corporations bought up all the season tickets in a sympathy/PR ploy to promote themselves...
Based on what I saw hanging over the 50-yard line railings... the actual seats are donated or given to the lucky local folks through some charity... lottery... or such...
It's not such a bad move... encouragement and entertainment with some great seats.... good PR for those who foot the bill
Justa humble opine/educated guess.....

Because we're not all poor slobs with our hand out. The media sells you a load about this area. Thousands in the Dome last night did lose their homes but they're not the ones looking to govt. to fix it. They've long ago started rebuilding on their own with provisions made before the storm.
