The only problem is the "based on a true story". I was told that there is a lot of "Hollywood" in this movie, and that some of the characters are either fictional or grossly mischaracterized.

The trailers look good, though.

My husband, who makes his living as a certain kind of WWI aviation historian, was scandalized when he heard that all the German flyers in this movie are depicted in all-red tri-planes. SCANDALIZED!

"No German flew an all-red triplane except the Red Baron, and it was red with a white cowling," he grumbled. "And even then, Richthofen mostly flew planes that weren't all-red."

He wants to go see the flick anyway, and as his long-suffering wife, I will sit beside him and listen to him gripe about all the historical innacuries with regard to the planes and their markings! *sigh*

This movie looks good. I'm a huge fan of WWI.

My wife and I saw 'Flyboys' late this afternoon. This is a movie that has to be seen on a large theater screen, don't wait till Blockbuster or Hollywood gets it in sometime next year. The movie is 140 minutes in length, and keeps you engrossed the entire time. Action scenes are incredible ... definitely a must see movie.
