Now it's time for A-Rod to put the team on his back and carry them to the Fall Classic.

Now it's time for A-Rod to put the team on his back and carry them to the Fall Classic. That'll happen when Jim Webb joins the B'nai Brith.

Imagine Giambi complaining to Joe Torre that he's being too nice to A-Rod.
I still can't believe the nerve of that bum.

Believe it or not, other than Giambi the Juicer and A-Rod the Girly Boy, I have nothing but respect for the Yankee roster and Joe Torre, class acts all around.
Which doesn't change the fact that they will still choke by the second round...

With their trade deadline purchase of Abreu they are now over $200 million.
They have some decisions to make in the offseason. Sheffield is a free agent as is Musina. Posada is also getting up there in age. Abreu and RJ come off the payroll after next year along with Wright. Frankly, they can go out and sign the best free agents in baseball the next few years and not skip a beat.

Backing in suits the Yankees just fine. They're so good at backstabbing A-Rod.

How about the nerve of David Ortiz saying that his teammates were lousy and holding him back?

With their trade deadline purchase of Abreu they are now over $200 million. Ah, that's right... Abreu. $200+ million... the mind boggles!
They have some decisions to make in the offseason. Sheffield is a free agent as is Musina.
I heard a rumor somewhere (probably WEEI sports radio) that Sheffield could end up on the Red Sox next season. I do like some of the Yankees individually - some are class acts, ie Jeter, Bernie Williams, Joe Torre, et al. But personally I cannot stand Sheffield... I hope that doesn't come true.

I heard a rumor somewhere (probably WEEI sports radio) that Sheffield could end up on the Red Sox next season. I should clarify that. It wasn't necessarily a rumor, but more like speculation on the part of one (or more) of the WEEI radio sports pundits...
