One typo and it's all meaningless. Anyone else ever make a typing error, or is it just me?

Anyone else ever make a typing error, or is it just me? Nope, just you. We old timers don't post vanities for this very reason. It's always open season.

One typo and it's all meaningless. Anyone else ever make a typing error, or is it just me? Sure, but there are typing errors and there are typing errors. If the point of your rant is to take down the horrible education system in this country, you best post something that makes you look a bit edjumucated.

One typo and it's all meaningless.Actually, that was not a typo. A typo is inadvertent. Using "loosing" instead of "losing" is a rather common event these days. I see it so much, I have stopped pointing it out. This is not to impugn your intelligence, but one should be sure that the choice of words and spellings is correct when commenting on education, lest one became an example supporting one's own argument. Another point is that a spell check will totally miss this, and spell check is no substitute for a proper education. (I'm being very careful to use correct phrasing and proper spelling and punctuation right now. How did I do?)

Anyone else ever make a typing error, or is it just me? Everyone makes errors.
That's why pencils have erasers. Why don't you ask the mod to correct it?

I constantly make typos. Someone has a tagline I love: Qwerty Ergo Typo - I type therefore I missppell.

I once heard that the only thing making someone look more ridiculous posting a typo is pointing it out.
But I think the pointer in this case didn't see it as a typo, but as using the wrong wrong. A grammar error.

The problem with your argument is that it's usually not a typo.
As a writing teacher, I see this incorrect usage all the time. I've even spotted it in an editorial in the Houston Chronicle.
It's truly a sign of the state of education in our country.
