Dog: The Family Speaks (Anyone see it? Discuss)

I think it is pretty rotten the way the situation was handled, especially since Andrew Luster was in Mexico at the time and was probably drugging and raping citizens there. I have never been one to believe conspiracies, but there has got to be more to this.

I think he should be commended instead of arrested. Leland said it best when he said something like, "We didn't take a Mexican citizen, we can and got an American rapists and brought him back to face justice."

Ps I've been told by Amnericans who have lived in Mexico had Dog paid off the local Mexican police he would never have been charged at all. That is how corrupt they are in Mexico. Do you think he should be extradicted for what in Mexico is a misdeameanor? Seems now the Mexicans are calling it something else not what Dog was 1st charged with. When I went looking for the Mexican charge all I found was this..."The warrant was based on a formal request based on a diplomatic note from the government of Mexico," said Bieber, who said the arrest occurred "around 6:30 a.m., (when) seven deputy marshals went to Chapman's home in Honolulu County

Privacion ilegal de la libertad (that's the charge) is a felony in Mexico, and no, they haven't changed it, but it seems that every newspaper works with a different translation, it means "kidnapping without asking for a ransom" the jail time for that is 1.5 to 4 years. plus six months to 4 years for Conspiracy to commit a crime.

As far as I know, it doesn't seems like they were corrupt, at least not in this case.

He called the Mexican Police prior to the capture. Dog and his possee waited outside the club for the Policia to show up. After a brief conversation, Dog and team went in and made the capture. They all left and a few minutes later they were stopped and everyone was arrested. This is not what was said or reinacted, this was the actual footage Dog's camerea crew got during the capture. I know A&E showed it two days in a row now. Maybe the'll play it again, I'm not sure.

Well like I said before Dog should have gotten legal advice here and in Mexico and taken care of this years ago. All news reports I have heard said it was a misdemeanor, now that could mean its a misdemeanor in the USA not Mexico. I find it odd that 3 yrs later Mexico is making a stink over this. I wonder why they aren't glad to be rid of the rapist Luster. My point on the Mexican police was HAD dog paid them off before going for Luster then he most likely would never have been charged. My mother in law winters in Mexico along with a few of her friends and she says you can pay the police off there for anything. I wonder if Luster was paying off the local police. What do you think?

Mexicans fear the long arm of the law because of successful FBI sting operations like Operation Casablanca (1998 I think) which resulted in the punishment of corrupt Mexican bankers whom the Mexican govt. had allowed to get away with their misdeeds. Chapman's rise to fame represents a real threat to them.
