In an blockbusting EXCLUSIVE interview on Dateline NBC, correspondent Matt Lauer sat down with Debra Lafave, the 23 year-old teacher who had sex with a 14 year-old boy on several occasions which made national headlines.
For some ungodly reason, NBC decided this was a groundbreaking story that needed to be told to America. I have one question
Why is Debra Lafave on television?
There have been notable people who have earned the right to recognition. Sports heroes, movie stars, business and religious leaders, respected politicians and cultural groundbreakers have all proven worthy of the media attention paid to them. That is why we feel we know Michael Jordan, Jennifer Anniston, Donald Trump, Reverend Billy Graham, John McCain and Simon Cowell. They have been talented, colorful, daring, mesmerizing, dynamic, blessed and outrageous! But, they have not broken the law, are not mentally ill and do not continue to lie and be in denial about their irresponsible behavior... [more at CaliforniaRepubic]

GPS ankle bracelets are sexy?
There's not a 14 year old on the planet that wouldn't hit that and be JUST FINE afterwards.
"She pursued him because of his age. Hence the term, child predator. She was being paid to teach our kids and not to sleep with them."
What part of .."I said it was wrong" do you not understand?
I don't think the "boy" will be harmed in any noticeable way by this, not like a girl would have been. That is just a fact that you will have to deal with.
Bad assumption. You are assuming that men and women are equal in all aspects.
NO NO NO....only if they are hot, isn't that the criteria?
Yes, I'm being sarcastic...
Boys are especially hurt by these encounters because the pop culture offers no shared grief or outrage over these heinous felonies. When authoritative women prey on venerable young boys, they are usually safe from detection.. I have personally experienced this crime as a young boy, once over a period of several months with a teacher, and twice with older women in my daily life .. All of these occurred before I was 13, the first when I was 5 or 6 with my teenage baby-sitter.
These encounters unquestionably effected/tainted my relationships with girls and women to this very day.. I tried to tell my aunt about the baby-sitter by telling her that I didn't like her, but that really didn't translate into a red flag.. I never reported any of the other abuses to anyone because I observed my teenage uncles and other older boys ogle and brag about their fantasies with girls..
My lecherous teacher was a relatively beautiful young married woman, and the hot talk of the male students. To complain about this act would have been used as a weapon of ridicule, and threaten my burgeoning, yet emotionally delicate Italian male identity..
I implore everyone to treat this act as the FELONY SEX CRIME that it is, and question your sons as to any inappropriate touching (and talking about sexual activities) incidents that may be occurring at school, with friends, and friend's families, not only male, but female as well..
> This is what happens when society throws God out of the public square. Morals go with him.
Yeah, nothing like his *ever* happened before they added "Under God" to the Pledge.
You are a respected FREEPER, and I thank you so much for pouring out your heart. May God Bless you and bring you peace, for speaking the truth......
>>>Instead, she's off for some well deserved jail time.>>>
No she's not.
Because they know their viewers, most of whom are so devoid of any ethics and morals
Watching an interview on TV is immoral and unethical?
Wow. Who knew.
Bless you hon.... I've heard stories like yours before, many times.
And you made the biggest point of all....
If a girl is molested, she can cry about it and get sympathy...
but a boy can't, because it's not supposed to be a bad thing.
This 'boy' was over 6' tall.
Because she's scandalous. And she's hawt. Since when does TV need more reason than that?
OK,
is it just me,
or are most/all of those chanting 'women and men are different' men....
and it means "girls don't like sex as much as we do"?
No you're not. You also may not be the only one who knows that Protestant clergy have sexually molested more children than Catholic priests or that school teachers have too.
>>>A girl would have lost much more if this case was reversed, thats just a fact.>>>
Are you kidding me??? I remember 14 well too and I know many, if not all, would have loved to give their loving to a major fine 23 year old college 'boy'.
Oh, give me a break....in older times, people were married close to that age. let me be the first to say that we are creating this problem with our schizo society....On one hand, all our media does is talk about sex...sex, sex, sex,sex...and then, when kids do it, we tell them how wrong it is! What on Earth do we expect?
>>>I've wondered myself if this boy (child) was a 14yr old that looked 10 or 17. Just like girls, there is a lot of variance in how fast a teenager's body develops. >>>
He was over 6' tall.
Big difference to the 14 year old whose voice is still changing.
OK,
so a tall person can't be sexually molested.
(writing that down in my notepad).
