It happened yesterday. MCCain, Graham, and Warner refused to go along with the President, and instead pushed THEIR version of the bill out of the committee, helped (of course) by the democrats. Colin Powell wrote a snarky letter supporting McCain, which of course McCain released to the press.

I am still steamed about this. Lindsey Graham was on a lot of talk shows yesterday and is simply being obtuse. He is not going to back down because he sees himself as being "principled." My personal opinion is that he is following his idol McCain's lead.

I am so mad at these people I could spit.

Well, I'm assuming that you're up for a roadtrip to Iowa if McCain's people try to set up a meeting in my community for local activists.

I'd like to charge admission to that meeting. It would be quite a show to see you man handling McLaim.

Plus I'm saddened by Fallaci's death, and concerned over the Pope and the reaction to his speech in Germany this week. He goes forth bravely, and the demons have been stirred...
