Lots of good games this weekend. There were several that would normally be the game of the week, but none of them outshine what should be a classic SEC slugfest between LSU and Auburn.

Agreed. I have been on the edge of my seat all week long. Having seen LSU play this year, I have respect for their skills. I think this will be a low-scoring game that is decided by 7 points or less.

I think the Tech/TCU game gets an upset alert as well.

Miami is not really an upset alert(ignore the spread)...didn't Louisville lose a big playmaker RB?
I hope FSU wakes up and rushes for a first down or two.

Last week was like playing a high school team. 2nd and 3rd strings went in early. Everybody in uniform got to play. Md should give some indication of the Mountaineers ability. Well, for a quarter at least. OT D.Crissey will be out 6-7 weeks with ankle injury from week one.
Go Mountaineers

Ohio St. and Texas really have it tough this weekend. Next week they plan to both play SE North Dakota St.Mining and Beauty University, the Mighty Lignite Curlers.

I'll only give a hint to one of my picks for this week. It's between ranked teams, and the dog will win by a much larger margin than anybody thinks.

Week Two gave everyone the earliest #1 vs. #2 showdown in modern college football history. The game, however, turned out to not really live up to the hype. That's mostly because OSU DID live up to the hype. What's really bad, is that there were a number of times that they weren't firing on all cylinders. That may be attributable to playing so many second and third-stringers.
When they get their act together, they'll be truly gross - though complete blowouts will be limited by Tressels tendency to turn down the offense once OSU is up by more than 2 TDs.
I expected the Texas offense to muster rather more of a challenge to the OSU defense.

I'll pick Tennessee to win. AL your other picks I agree with.

Open question: why is NBC so openly pro-Notre Dame? I know there's a valid reason, and it has something to do with the contract, but somebody please explain. Thanks.

LSU ROBBED!
I'm sorry, but that call...LSU's QB proceeded to earn that loss with his failure to dump it on the run, but Auburn should be ASHAMED to accept a clearly stolen win like that.
OKLAHOMA ROBBED...TWICE!
The state of Oklahoma should call for a boycott of all Oregon-origin goods until that travesty of a game is ruled a complete failure on the part of the officials to properly rule on both the on-side kick AND the succeeding pass interference call.
I don't like LSU, and I don't like Oklahoma...but the NCAA should be doing something about such clearly pisspoor officiating.
LSU deserves an apology. Oklahoma deserves REPARATIONS.
