I'm pulling my hair out trying to find a word and it's definition. Help?

Posted on 09/12/2006 5:38:51 PM PDT by Conservababe

I heard this word used verbally in a sentence...it is not part of the "paradine". I have spelled it as I heard it, but have no idea of the spelling or meaning. I have tried to look it up using online dictionaries using different spellings with no luck.

Can someone help?

I could, but I would have to have a complete paradigm shift and think outside the box.

Sound good? Make me you CEO!

Sounds good, but.....

Do you have gravitas?

You ain't squat unless you got it!

Pair-of-dig-em?

Personally, I prefer a pair of big ones.

Ooorah!

Paradigm - can be pronounced para - dim or para - dime.

It means a 'prime example'.

OK!

Here is goes . . in my best CEO speak . .

Given the increased gravitas of consequences of inaction, a bold new paradigm shift is required to think outside the box.

Paradigm? Roughly, the standard to which others will be measured. Most often used the new paradigm, say a PC on every desk as opposed to one in the computer room.

Uh hum, now I see why my husband (separated almost two years) would use that word when I reminded him of his cheating during a divorce talk. LOL
