Wow... sad news for a kid.
He was a bit camera shy and regardless of who his mom is he is still a young man who lost his life.
May he be at peace.
I have known girls like Anna and sometimes others care for the kids and it is OK if Mum is more concerned with her nail and hair beauty.
Still we should not pine the kids.

They do not currently know the cause of death, but it is not believed to be related to drugs or alcohol.

Perfect assessment. The few times(twice maybe) that I saw him on television, I thought the same. The loss of a young life is always a tragedy. God rest his soul and comfort his loved ones.

That's very sad - if I recall, he was a nice kid, surprisingly normal considering his environment.
What a bizarre turn of events. I don't know what to say. Had she brought her baby home from the hospital? Did she find her son dead? Talk about post-partum depression, in someone very unstable to begin with.
Lord, please help this little baby girl, who will need lots of caretaking - and may her young son rest in peace. (With her old husband and her old stepson.)
I usually hate piling onto misery, but Smith was a trainwreck of a human during his early childhood. Her son seemed - well - normal in comparison the freak show going on around his mom. I halfway expected him to go a different path than his mother, maybe forgo some of the traps she fell into. Very sad.

NASSAU, Bahamas (Reuters) - Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son died suddenly at her bedside in a Bahamian hospital where the former Playboy Playmate was recovering from the birth of a daughter, police said on Monday.
Daniel Smith was found sitting upright in a chair in his mother's room at the private Doctors Hospital in the Bahamian capital of Nassau early on Sunday and could not be revived, police said. There were no signs of trauma on his body and no sign of a struggle in the room, police said.
