Long-lost siblings?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Parcells is a quitter who has a history of quitting on his teams. When he decided to leave New England, it was ugly, as New England was on a Super Bowl run. As New England got deeper into the playoffs, Parcells was consumed with getting the hell out of town. So instead of focusing on getting his team ready for the big game (Super Bowl), he was busy negotiating (against NFL rules) a deal with the NY Jets.

Parcells hatred for Bob Kraft was evidently so deep that he didn't seem to mind watching distractedly from the sidelines as his team got trounced by Green Bay in the big game. After the game, Parcells was through. He didn't even ride back to New England with the team, instead jetting to New York on a private plane to get started with the Jets.

Parcells repeated this same kind of bizarre behavior in his other stints as head coach. And while Parcells has had some success, it should be noted that he has never been to a Super Bowl without having Bill Belichick running his defense for him (and his two Super Bowl victories with the NY Giants were won by Belichick's defense). However, Bill Belichick has won THREE Super Bowls without Parcells.

Some will retort to these comments by pointing out that Bill Belichick "quitted" on the NY Jets. But those who think that do not know the whole story. The fact is, when Parcells "resigned" from the NY Jets and had Belichick appointed head coach, it was a sham. For Parcells fully intended to stay with the Jets as a "consultant" and thus Belichick was once again being asked to play second fiddle to Parcells. It was obvious that the Jets were going nowhere and Parcells, in an effort to save face, was willing to throw Belichick under the bus and put himself in a win-win situation.

For if Belichick turned the team around, Parcells could take credit as being the man behind the curtain making the REAL decsions. But if the team continued to flounder, it would be Belichick taking the heat and then after a year or two, Belichick would get canned, and Parcells would move back in as "the savior" with a few good draft picks to build upon.

SO Belichick got sick of being in Bill Parcells shadow. He wanted to be his own man and he wasn't going to be that in New York. So when Bob Kraft gave him that opportunity up in New England, who can blame Belichick for resigning as "HC of the NYJ."

Parcells is just a loud-mouthed bully who has ridden the coattails of other men. Belichick is the real deal.

Terry Owens is a cancer. He and Bledsoe will hate each other. Parcells, the quarterback and receiver coaches will hate having him on the team. The other receivers will hate having him on the team.
Parcells will lose patience and give a "him or me" ultimatum. No guess as to which way that will go.
Anyway, better luck next year Cowboy fans.

Best coach in the game. Three Super Bowl wins, with 3 different quarterbacks and no name running backs.

I can't wait for the day when he and TO are both gone. It would be nice to get rid of the Jones family too, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
