A recent study proves it is "very likely" that the reason women have difficulty rising to the top in their careers is because they are less intelligent than men, according to controversial University of Western Ontario psychologist J. Philippe Rushton.Men, in general may be smarter, but Philippe sure ain't!!!

"Very likely"? Sounds like the kind of thing you would want to have facts on before making that statement.

Intelligence comes in different colors. Put a man and then a women in a strange room then see who remembers more when questioned. Women multitask better, (try to beat them at Scrabble!), but as most jobs are single goal oriented it makes men look better.

One man was not smart enough to keep his mouth shut.
Besides women can see the future (they know if you're going to get any sex in the near future anyhow). Bet they can see a future with the prof and his best girl 'Rosie'.

and discovered males scored the equivalent of 3.63 IQ points greater than their female counterparts. Even if true, that's not much of a difference. I believe the greater standard deviation of men compared to women plays a greater role; both genius and idiocy are more common among males. This makes sense from an evolutionary perspective; a "successful" male can spread his genes to a much greater extent than a successful female, so the correct genetic strategy for women is to play it safe, while for men it pays to take more chances.

I think it depends on how you define intelligence. Men and women do tend to process information in different ways. It's my belief that men do have a greter capacity to process data and extrapolate from it however women have a greater capacity to process emotion and extrapolate from it.
Does that make women stupid? Hardly. It means their brains process information with a greater nuance for emotion and feeling than men which is useful for the tasks they are often given (child-raising, teaching, nursing, etc.) while men process information with more indifference which is useful for some of the tasks they are often given (science, medicine, engineering, etc.).
To say one or the other is "more intelligent" is oversimplifying. And, of course, I am speaking in generalities here. Not all women nor all men process information alike or process information with or without emotion.

men's brains weighed, on average, 100 grams more than women's. I wonder if he was counting man's second brain - you know - the one that is in his "other head".
Don't know if that one contributes to IQ, though.
