Here are two really nice tributes to Steve Irwin. I know there are alot of fans of his on FR, including myself.
"I Can Only Imagine"--strange song choice--was Steve Irwin a Christian? 'Cause the "he left this world in a peaceful and happy state of mind" won't mean much if not...and where were those quotes from in the first tribute? "He teached us"?
Thank you.
I certainly hope he was, but I really don't know.
It is sad sometimes that it isn't until a person dies that society realizes how much that person meant to us.
Thank you!
Excellent.Major tear Jerker...
Do you have the link? I would love to share with some others I know would really appreciate this.

I wish I knew who was singing "Amazing Grace" in the last one. Whoever she is, she has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. I'm just guessing here, but it could be LeAnn Rimes.
Thanks!
I just downloaded that song *I can only imagine by MercyMe*.
Great great inspirational song....
I just read in a in an article that some of his last words as they were heading out on the boat were. "This has been the happiest month of my life".
They are a Christian group....
I dearly hope Steve knew the Lord.
I have one of her CDs and was pretty certain that that was LeeAnn singing it :)
It's something that bothers me too. So often we hear great tributes about people when they die. I often wonder how many great things they heard about themselves when they were alive.
I am usually very "indifferent" to hearing about the death of any celebrity, but news of Steve Irwin's passing really SADDENED me and my husband. We loved watching his shows. This has just been so sad! From what I've read, his little girl shares his passion for animals and is eager to follow in his footsteps.
I've also been disgusted at those who have used it for their "15 minutes of fame" like that woman (whose name I don't even know) who made the statements about him gettting what he deserved, or the MSM saying the stingray "attacked him."
Me too; but, I love animals and Steve Irwin gave animal lovers a close look into the world of the "beasts."
He made learning about them fun for both children and adults; he will be missed by the big kid in all of us :)
Can't even watch it!
Started bawling around the third photo.
