I have a question, should I go on ahead and decorate my cubicle for Christmas and should I use religious oriented ornements?

If you decorate your cube to spread good cheer, then spread good cheer. More is always needed :~)
If you just want to make a statement, I'd consider whether your motives are really in keeping with the season :~) In other words, put up things that will improve the mood of the office, not just make people uncomfortable :~)

JMHO...
I don't get all bent out of shape about stores not saying "Merry Christmas" or about towns not allowing nativity scenes or stuff like that.
On the other hand, I DO take every opportunity to flaunt it, as long as I've got the rights to do so.
Mostly to (affectionately) annoy the office mate. (It's an annual tradition to do this right before Thanksgiving)
I get a kick out of Miss Piggy singing, "Five Gooooooolden Riiiiiiiings.... ba dum dumm dummm."
