So, I took Luke to see The Santa Clause 3. Feel free to wait for the DVD.

It was a bit disconcerting because Elizabeth Mitchell plays Mrs. Claus (she did in SC2 as well). If you don't recognize the name, she's Juliet on LOST.

Nowhere near as charming or fun as the first movie, or even the second one. But Luke liked it.

But then a little more than halfway through the movie, we heard this child crying and she wouldn't stop. Finally the ushers came in to help.

Then the movie stopped and the lights came on. Apparently this child, about 3-ish, had managed to get herself stuck in the seat and neither she nor her parents could get her out. So, they had to dismantle the seat. The move resumed about 20 minutes later.

So, there's that.

We went and saw Borat and I'd recommend the same. But only watch the DVD in the same company with which you'd watch South Park or worse. Some parts were very, very, very, very funny. Others were, well, you just saw too many, um, parts.

Overall very crude. Funny, but crude.

Heh...did you find yourself with some trust issues?

Ruh, roh. Poor little kid, I'm sure she was terrified!!

Haven't seen any of the Santa Clause movies. I figured I wasn't missing much.

Did you see the movie Chrismas with the Kranks? It was ok, but the book on which it was based, "Skipping Christmas" was really good. See if you can find the book on CD or Audio tape at the library, and listen to it. Dennis Boutsikaris narrates it. It had its slapstick moments to be sure, but it was poignant, as well.,
