Had another problem at the pool.
There were two lap swimmers there.
Now, to be absolutely clear, there are specific times to lap swim. Open swimming is not allowed during lap swim times and I never bring the boys during that time.
So I was pretty upset when the lifeguard sectioned off HALF the pool for these two lap swimmers during open swim time. That forced the kids to play and splash too close to the elderly ladies that are doing range of motion in the pool and they don't like to get their hair wet, you know? Normally, it's not a problem, even if they section off one lane for a lap swimmer. There's plenty of room and the jedis know not to splash on the ladies.
But half the pool was too much.
So I motioned to the life guard (an exceptionally cool and fine person that I really like) and told him my beef. He told me that one of the lap swimmers gives him a hard time all the time and that she would be mad if he took down the barrier, but that he would take it down. I told him if she gave him any trouble, to tell her I made him do it and to take it up with me.
He replied "You know, I get the feeling you could probably handle it."
:-)
He took it down and told her something...she eventually got out and just scowled at me.
You rock, 2J! Yeah, I don't like it when folks try to throw their weight around like that to get special treatment, especially when they are putting so many other people out.
