Flew home today. Am enjoying Sci Fi Friday. Got lots of nano-prep done on da plane. I wrote it in a little notebook. Words feel different when you write them by hand vs. typing them.

Since we're on the topic and you're my Richmond-area expert... is there any phraseology that is particular to the area? I have one kid who I think is going to say Dude a lot - unless there's something local that's better.

Mmm...notebook.

I know I've babbled about it here before, but I *love* pens and paper. I have wayyyy too many extra blank books around that I just couldn't pass up. And while I don't really do a lot of longhand writing, I *do* brainstorm on paper. I have notebooks with pages of speculation on characters and questions that need answering and plot holes that need filling and just mindless theorizing on where to go next.

Good way to work out of a hole.

It depends on the kid and the culture. Can you tell me more about him?
