Very labor intensive and a real test of how much the SCA'er wanted to wear mail. Way back, before the Earth cooled, I really started getting into this stuff. In addition to the sword I'm holding below, I made a great helm, and started on a mail shirt. I didn't have any special tools, and was making 1/2 inch rings. The piece of mail I stopped at was 10 by 20 inches, and had more than 400 rings.
