LOL!! Exactly! That is exactly what happened yesterday at the doctor's office. The doctor asked him "What grade are you in?" and "Matthew replied "Well, that's rather hard to describe." Then he told him as best he could but even he gets confused.
He's in:
6th grade spelling
7th grade English/Lit
7th grade World Studies (World history/geology)
8th grade Pre-algebra
8th grade Science
9th grade Latin

Eventually I just started giving my age and shrugging. That list looks pretty similar to what I was probably doing at Matthew's age!
I bought a shiny new cookbook today. I have a few good basic cookbooks but I wanted one with Asian dishes. Now I need a wok ;-)

Good grief, he'll soon be off to college. What are you using for science? I need to do something a little less labor intensive on my part and maybe go the satellite route next year...at least for science and maybe history.
Jacob too has something going on with his feet. His toes turn in and I'm taking him in next month to have that looked at. All the other docs have said that it's common, but allmykids need their physicals and so I'll ask again when we go in next month. They've told him that the fastest runners have toes that turn in, and he loves that idea...anything to beat his sister.
We've been gone...G'nad's parents celebrated their 50th, so we made the road trip home. 50 years...don't know how she put up with him for that long. :-)
