Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

she was side-swiped by a tractor trailer. Thank the Good Lord that she's okay!!

I thought of you this morning. I was watching the news and it said that the Tulsa area would get 6-9 inches today and tonight. B-brrr. It's cold down here too (there is only one county between us and the OK border). We have had a sleet and snow mix all day. The public schools around here were open, but all the universities and community colleges were shut down. PE took a sleeping bag with him to work this morning in anticipation of the weather getting worse as he day goes on. LOL, he is looking at it as an opportunity for overtime! Geesh! (I hope Steve makes it home safely.) Meanwhile, we at home are settling in with cocoa and popcorn, ready to watch a movie.
Spiderboy is supposed to have taekwondo today (in about an hour). It's his last class before his 1st degree black belt test TOMORROW (WooHoo!). I'm thinking, tonight's class is cancelled.
Hang in there!

I'm glad she's ok, Corin. That's pretty scary.

Traffic wasn't bad (the road was) until I hit 119th. Spent a lot of time between 119th and 103rd.

Got 4 to 5 inches of snow. In my driveway it's on top of ice. Oh well.

We really haven't gotten that much snow yet, maybe 2" maximum, but it is really starting to drift.
I'm going to miss Jerry Agar, he has been a terrific talk show host.
To: JenB
Nope - five or six hundred to go. I'll get it tonight.
Nothing like cutting it close...

Yikes! Glad she's ok. Tractor trailers make me vey nervous for that very reason.

Well we'll be having some showers here the next few days, going down to 65 tonight, and the UPPER 50's over the weekend. Highs around 80. I feel for you folks.
By the way Corin, that is a nasty piece of highway on I-81, I went to school in Blacksburg and I know. Beautiful country, though.

Comin' up right behind ya...about 300 words.
I think the first year I finished on the 29th...this is the latest I've done it. Remind me *never* again to attempt to add 50k to a story I'm in love with.

Hm...twenty words left. Not enough to blow up the planet, I guess.
Future amnesia chick is meeting destiny man of doom. Shouldn't be hard to squeeze a few words out of that.
