Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hullo! We're back :~) Water's fixed :~)
Been outside with the hose running all the air out of the line. Gonna refill all our emergency water, and then we'll be sitting pretty again :~)

Well I'm glad. Not having power is one thing, but not having water is a real pain, especially when you have horses. Do you know what the problem was, or do you really just not care so long as it got fixed?

Hope everything came out okay...

Well, the store owner told us, but he's hard to understand because he's Korean... as best I could tell, the doohickey went all wonky and was leaking out of the thingamajig. Cost a couple hundred bucks.

Ungh...looking like I may be here late today. If it *really* starts looking nasty, could someone stick Cisco in the house? I think I left it unlocked anyway...oops.
Either way...I owe you guys pizza or something like that later this week...

LOL! I can just imagine the conversation that Hair had trying to interpret between the two Korean guys. A tape of that would be priceless!

No problem - right now it's sunny and rather cheerful, but if it starts snowing, we'll go get him. Looked like he could use another bale of straw in his dog house... we'll get you one when we go to the feed store next.
We've filled everything that will hold water with water, I'd suggest doing the same when you get home. A five gallon bucket will get you two flushes :~)

He really loves that doghouse...even on the weekends he sometimes asks to go out and then dives in there. Or else sits on the roof and watches the world go by.
I should pick up a couple of containers to use for emergency water. It's one of those things you don't think about until it's too late!

It's snowin' up here again. Sorta. Off and on for the last hour or so.

The whole morning has been an exercise in basic communications... I felt like Kevin Costner with the indians for a while there.... "Ta-tanka!" "Ohhhhh Tatanka!"
To: Ramius
"Damn mongorians! Stop tearing down my chity wall!"

Finally caught your word count, though you'll probably leap ahead once you transcribe the day's scrivenings.
We can do it! Three days and less than 7k left!

Hoping to make 44k today, anyway. Don't have much in the way of scrivenings...it's been too busy, plus because I'm working on the last few scenes, I'm fighting perfectionitis.
And evil chick keeps showing new sides. Have I mentioned I need a rewrite?

I'm boring myself again with narrative. My conflicts need some pizazz. but that can wait for a re-write.
I'm in the home stretch. < 4K to go!
