Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
|
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

How does one see air? ;-)
It *looks* like it's on there, best I can tell...maybe I'll drop a tiny piece of lint back there and turn it on, see if it moves around.

That's what I was thinking, that you'd see lint or dust moving if it leaked. ;~) Maybe wait a week. If a pile of dryer lint is appearing back there, then it's not good enough.
To: HairOfTheDog
Good plan.
It at least dried the couch cover...so that's good. Two of the three critters have retaken it. I think the other one is still off sulking 'cause I shut him away while we were doing the dryer install.

It wuz murder I tell ya...
One of the tetras is missing. And the other two and the beta aren't talking.
'Course with no body around, it's kinda hard to prove my case.

(And I never even got the movie of the old show.) The old show is still wanderin' around out there.
I have the 2005 show available now if'n anybody wants to see it.

So what happened with the dryer that was scary?

Oh! No, that was the new one - we got it all hooked up, and then it wouldn't turn on. I checked the breaker, and it was on. Still no go. But when I flipped it off and back on again, all was well.
For a few minutes, I thought I'd bought a dead dryer.

Though...the old one was scary, too. The whole doesn't-turn-off deal. And then something blew when it stopped heating. Made a burning smell.

Say...do you guys have water over there? I seem to have not much more than air, but I dunno if the problem is somewhere in this place or further down the line.

Morning everybody!

Looks like decent flying weather. Hopefully I'll be back in KC in time to spring Miss Cat before the vet's office closes.

OH - um no - we don't. The hose didn't work with the horses this morning (had to use the emergency water). At the time, I thought it must have been frozen. He must have the well shut off.
To: Overtaxed
Have a good flight and no delays :~)
To: HairOfTheDog
Great. Well...at least I don't have to go hunt for a leak. So there's that. Wonder why it's off, if it's off.
