I've got it on, but just barely.

Not looking forward to the electricity bill jump. :-\ Oh well. Such is the price we pay for a cool climate...

Yeah - at least you didn't pay air conditioning all summer.

We should replace the filters on your furnace... remind us when we come over to do your winterizing :~)

I could be an autopsy transcriptionist!!

Our hospital system has a large group of home transcriptionists. They work at home, and enter key in paper docs into various databases.

The biggest requirement at our place is that transcriptionists have zero knowledge of computers, and the ability to panic at the drop of a hat. The ability to state the obvious is a big plus.

I can pretend to those qualifications. Got any openings?

By the way, tomorrow is Becky's 9th birthday.

We'll be heading down to the beach on Saturday and Dona is picking up a cake and such.

If you can make it over for the day, it would be really nice. But I know it's short notice, so no biggie if you can't come.

OH - well happy birthday to her!

Not sure if we can make it or not, we'll talk about it. I know I just had a sudden realization that we have some projects to do to get ready for winter... have to figure out and solve why the power isn't going into the fence for one, and replace and tighten some other sections.

And we've got some winter-readying to do for Rosie.

Heh...well then, here comes my first WA winter! Yikes! ;-)

I bought boots for the girls yesterday. Becky picked out these ridiculous motorcycle-looking things with no decent tread. Sheesh. But she just loves them.

Alyson chose a pair of clunky-looking Disney princess boots, but at least they've got a great tread and are lined with fleece inside.

Ramius will prolly end up taking us back to REI to get some decent boots later, but the ones we got yesterday should do well until the ice arrives.

I couldn't find a pair of decent looking boots that didn't have a heel on them. Who in the heck wears heels to walk on ice??!!

Well, that makes sense. I had the yard all cleaned up and almost ready for fall before Ernesto came along. I'm hoping it won't rain this Saturday. I still need to finish the railing on the deck and paint the mailbox...as well as clean out the gardens.

Could be tricksey 'cause rehearsals start in about three weeks.

BTW, can your monsters do this?
