The Hobbit Hole XXXI - Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Heh...I wouldn't wish my job on my worst enemy, 2J. ;-)

My company doesn't offer PT payroll rep positions, but some of our competitors might!

It wouldn't hurt to look into it.

It's called a payroll rep, eh?

Hmmm...

See, if I could work even just 3-4 hours a day after the kids get done with school and before Steve gets home...that would be nice...just a bit extra coming in...

It ain't a bad gig to have in the work-at-home scenario.

I just got back from picking Becky up from school. We swung by McDonalds and grabbed Happy Meals.

They're munching away and watching Rugrats while I finish up what's on my desk here.

How about looking for a part-time position as a telephone-help nurse? OB's insurance company has a help-line where you can talk to a registered nurse about questions you have about medical issues. Hospitals might have the same type service....

How much is your blog worth?

That's for "Ward Smythe" my other blog "HistoricOccasions" is worth a little more than $500.

I wish there was some way I can sell stuff...my mom had a shoe store and I was a great salesperson. She once said I could sell ice to Eskimos.

... Then she fired me for calling my boyfriend. She didn't like him so she fired me. (I called him collect.)

That night, she called me at a friend's house to ask me to come close up the store. (She'd just had an RK and couldn't see to drive in the dark.) I told her to call this other girl to come in to do it. (She'd fired her a couple of months before.)

She hung up on me then kicked me out of the house when I got home.

Heh heh!!

Actually, 2J, as the boys get older, and are reading on their own, you won't need to be as 'present' to them while they're working, as you are now, so you'd be free to work while they're doing their schoolwork.

On Wednesdays, yes.

She goes in from 8 to noon (instead of 2:30).

Nice life, right?
