Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Heh...as an example of the games they were doing, they did one of those deals where you write a hundred words or a paragraph or so and then pass to the next person.

I never did find out what the person who had started off with a gal meeting a guy at a hotel thought about my having him dump her and then racing off 'cause he had to catch a transport to Mars, 'cause he had an important meeting with his boss to discuss his next assignment: undercover work investigating a ring of intergalactic spam smugglers.

Well...I thought it was more interesting than a hotel tryst, personally.

Heh, that's way more cool anyway. Hehehehe.

I met my revised "must be here or be hopelessly behind" goal. AND Talon folded all the laundry for me while I was writing. Yay!

I wrote maybe five hundred words to my story the whole time. And that was while pretending to write in yet another game deal. Like I said, it was strange.

Then there was the fact that the gal I was sharing a table with had a Neo - we were in the middle of the room and the laptop folks took the tables around the edges.

I had to really fight to resist the urge to grab it and run away with it into the night. *snif* Someday I'll have another.

Tagline fix...at least I got some writing in this morning, though I was saving most of the writing for the write-in. Duh.

Don't worry, given enough time you'll turn into a duck and won't even notice it.
