Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

A doctor tells you you have something called a 'brain cloud' and you didn't get a second opinion?

It's way, way, way... too soon to be tired of rain.

:-)

Embrace the rain. But, be dry. Watching rain outside reminds me how dry I am. An I like being dry. So it reminds me of a happy thing.

I guess it's just a matter of adjusting.

I'm used to feeling cozy and warm whilst it's 30 below outside. And kinda liking seriesly cold weather for that reason, even if I do complain about it.

I'm not used to thinking of rain like that. :-\

Somehow, my being stuck at 741 words does not bode well for winning this year's challenge...

Don't think I haven't thought about that.

I'm thinking though that after Tuesday night, I'll check out of the web for a while (at least a few days). That might give me a chance to catch up.

Just stay here... don't go anywhere else on the internet and all will be well.

Heh...we could lock you in the Hobbit Hole and make you write.

I recommend lots and lots of meaningless dialog. It's werking for me.

Ungh. I don't feel like doing any writing tonight. I am debating a hot shower or just snuggling on the couch with my sweetie for a while. Or just going to bed.

Oh, I really, really, really hope I get that job tomorrow.
