The Hobbit Hole XXXI - Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

What a beautiful morning!!! I took Gypsy for her walk whilst OB sharpened the lawnmower blade. We are now awaiting the arrival of the wood man to replenish our winter wood supply. LSA

You're evicting yours and we're offering ours a new home in a fresh woodpile. Saw one eating the spilled sunflower seeds under the bird feeder yesterday, cute little bugger. Gypsy was pretty interested in him, too, but he goes places she is unable to reach.

Heh, I'm a little behind but I hope to catch up this weekend. Need to write about 2k today.

I have full confidence in your ability. Congrats on the job interview. I hope you get it!

PS - I've done 1625 words so far today. Hopefully, I can write for another hour before I am called away to do other things.

I am way behind where I should be already. It came from spending a day thinking I might change what story I was going to do. By the end of today the number I should be at is 6668

Good morning!

Ungh...slept in. Kinda - it's seven here.

But I think I have at least the next paragraph in my head. Maybe I'll find a way to move on once that's written.

Need coffee...

Well, you can catch up if you just increase your daily word count. It would be hard to do all 4,000 words in one sitting. Now, (hopefully) you have your story set...so it is straight ahead and no deviations (you don't have time)!

This is my fifth year doing NaNo. I know I can do this, it's a matter of getting myself together and just writing four thousand or so words today so I'm ahead.

Thanks! I hope I get the job too :-)

But let me say that I have found that deadlines are my friend. Nothing like a good deadline to make me sit down and pump out what needs to be done!

Boker Tov! Shabat has ended here and things will be opening back up for a couple of hours. I doubt I go anywhere...

Have an attack of ninja llamas and by the time they're gone your characters will be infused with action.

Or not.

I know you can do it too. But 4,000 words, that's a lot! So, what are you doing talking to me... get to work! LOL!!!

Bah, it's Saturday... we're going to a write in later (that's a gathering of writers doing NaNoWriMo, sitting around at a coffee shop with their laptops and writing)

My caffeine hasn't hit yet. Saturdays are lazy days. It's only 9 here... ok so that's late...

Sounds like fun. I don't know how much writing I would get done in a coffe shop, especially if they served cake. I might be eating more than writing.

For me, it works - especially if I don't take the computer. Fewer distractions than home. I may go to one here in a few minutes - there's one that I've been going to almost every Saturday. It's right across from a grocery store I like, so I can write and have coffee and then run my weekend errands.

Write-ins are great motivation, too...because if there are a dozen other people around you typing away, you feel like you *have* to keep going.

I'm thinking of a) piling on the irritating gal by mixing dreams and reality a bit more until she doesn't know which way is up and b) getting the other gang stranded somewhere for awhile, which will involve lots of discussion and mean that they arrive late for the action so I can get it over with in a hurry. ;-)

Ungh...damp, isn't it?

Yeah, it poured most of the night. I haven't yet drained the dog's kiddy pool for the winter, and it's overflowing.
