Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

My padding technique of choice is taken straight from the good Mr. Tolkien himself: song lyrics.

Heh.

Oh - college faculty personal websites from the early 90s? (with bizarre facts and the curriculum vitae... and usually a doofus picture)

That's valuable! Man I hate it when I take a big gulp of bad milk.

So... I've got an interview first thing tomorrow morning for a position that seems to be a step up in every way from what I'm doing now. My current job is a nice ego boost since they think I can walk on water, but it's not stretching me at all, this position is about a 15% pay raise, it has all the right buzzwords, it's five minutes from home, and I might be able to Freep, yah never know. So basically I'd appreciate prayers from anyone who feels like it. 8 am CST.

Also the recruiter has my resume in at another, equally excellent-sounding job, so...

Excellent!

On that same note, Steve got an email from a guy with SemGas for a position as a safety/compliance coordinator. Wanting to set up a phone interview.

Only the second really good hit he's had. It would likely mean staying here in OK, which of course is what we'd want.

So, keep us in your prayers too, all.

Corin, I'm prayin' for you too, my friend.
