Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Nah, we can't vote on your issue, but they are using a lot of the bait-and-switch techniques that were used so sucessfully on my side of the state line with the stadium vote.

I listened until the moonbat started barking.
I listened to the whole thing. The moonbat kept talking about some person he didn't want on the panel. Turns out it was Traci Thomas, and he didn't like her comments. So she called in to Darla J. today to defend herself and then made the comment about the soccer kids being used as Hitler Youth. I laughed.

Exec #3: What was that about hats again?
Exec #2: Oh, Uh... people aren't wearing enough.
Exec #1: Is this true?
Exec #4: Certainly. Hat sales have increased but not pari passu, as our research...
[Interrupting] Exec #3: "Not wearing enough"? enough for what purpose?
Exec #5: Can I just ask, with reference to your second point, when you say souls don't develop because people become distracted...
[looking out window]
Exec #5: Has anyone noticed that building there before?

Heh...sorry.

Actually, I was going to also mention that I'm almost out of Pilon...then I realized it was late and I needed to get moving, so I sent the post as is. ;-)

Sounds good to me!

Very efficient means of caffeine delivery, too.

Well I was going to do a pan of peanuts...kinda like a low sugar/ high chocolate M&M.

They had a sale on bittersweet chocolate so I think I'll do a pan of coffee beans too.

Well, the boys are gone, the day is just cold, cloudy and windy and I'm sick. The one thing I planned to get me through this day has likely fallen through.

I feel awful in every way.

Put FoTR DVD on and curl up on the couch with some warm socks, a warm beverage, and a blanket...

You know...that's not a bad idea. My throat is so sore that nothing sounded appealing till you mentioned that. And I have everything I need.

My throat is so bad that I coughed up blood in the night.

Well, it's supposed to be a beautiful day in the mid 70s tomorrow for the parade...so I can look forward to that.

Good plan.

I emailed Steve and told him he might as well blow off coming home. but he emailed back saying he's coming home anyway...So at least I'll have company after lunch.
