Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Coffee is always good!

I'm having a few chocolate covered coffee beans in addition to my regular 'spresso this morning. Hopefully I can avoid bouncing off the walls at work...

I know it. Makes me so mad.

:-/

And not only that, the weather is just awful! I thought the bad weather was going to be done and through here by this afternoon. Maybe it will be but it's cold and blustery right now.

No way I can go to a salvage yard being sick and in this weather. In nice weather, I could likely manage it...

Are you still using Trend for AV? Any conflicts you've found between PC-Cillin Internet Security 2007 and Outlook? I just bought it about a week ago, and since then, I've had lots of trouble with Outlook locking up. Also Windows Explorer. (I'm on Office 2000)

We also installed a backup tool on this machine in the last week, but I'm suspect that PC-Cillin is the source of the conflict.

Where did you get eggnog??

I was just thinking about that yesterday...that we didn't have long to wait. But I've never seen it much before Thanksgiving before.

Hmmmm...I've have trouble with Outlook locking up recently as well. I figured it was some spyware or something that got in.

But then, Comcast has been "upgrading" their webmail.

Could their be a connection?

I have no idea, and I don't own any tinfoil.

Well...it's kind of a rough time of year for you, isn't it?

Heh...I'd be up for doing another month in, say, March.

I think I'm all but decided to just keep working on my current story and make my goal to either add 50k or finish, whichever comes first.

My family sent me a big bag for my birthday.

They're good, but they do kick.

Well, I'm not the tinfoil type either, but when I report the trouble to MS, they send me a link to upgrade to a newer version of office :~D

If I was the tinfoil type, I'd think it was set to slowly self-destruct until I upgrade :~D

I actually did okay with it last year because I was able to write during rehearsals. That's a good possiblity this year. But I'm gonna miss the first week because of the campaign. Plus we seem to have a lot more "other" stuff going on this year than usual. And for us that's saying a lot.

If I had more of a plot I think I'd feel differently. I may still try just to say I did. But I dunno how well it will go.

I've yet to have had a plot at the the beginning, beyond maybe a vague sentence or so...

But I can see it being tricky for ya.

had a "No to Welfare Soccer" notice at my door this afternoon

Hee, hee. Soccer Wars heating up. Traci Thomas just referred to the proponents sending the soccer kids out to solicit for yard signs like "Hitler Youth".

Mmmmm....chocolate coffee beans.

How about if I make a 50:50 mix of bittersweet:unsweetened chocolate and pour it over a cake pan with a single layer of whole coffee beans.

I didn't know you folks were voting on the soccer thing.

Did ya hear Jerry Agar talking about how he couldn't get the "Soccer Yes" people on for a live forum? I listened until the moonbat started barking.
