Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I admit I didn't read the conversation from last night :~)

*snicker*

We also haven't experimented with catnip and the kittens...or Cartman. That could be fun, with or without a balloon.

Aw...you don't have to.

Though...I'd like it. I don't have anything else remotely "birthday" happening today...

Sorry for the pity party. Just rather hoped some of the bothers would at least send an e-mail, considering they're even more addicted to e-mail than I am...

Happy Birthday!

I guess I'm just quirky, but my 30th birthday was my absolute favorite. I felt like "Ok..I'm a real adult now...nobody can push me around."

LOL!!!

Heh...somehow that's more visually appealing than the first cake o' the day...

Though...I imagine if I tied a balloon to the tail of one of the real cats...it'd go a bit differently...

Take pictures!

Heh...so there's that.

The bother who's getting married in January better not forget his (future) wife's, though...hers is the day before his.

That's why calendars were invented. So husbands won't forget.

And why our wedding date is inscribed inside our rings ;-)

The writing will get worn off in no time, and you will only be able to read it if you throw it in a fire.

My ring is inscribed with "Ash nazg durbatulúk, ash nazg gimbatul, ash nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul" in an elvish script.

Speaking of Ian McKellan (okay, maybe not) I just saw X-Men 3 the other night.

Cool movie.

Don't miss the credits. ;-)
