Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Oh well. It's supposed to be in the 70's tomorrow.

I lived through the 70s. I don't want to go there again.

Oh...you meant weather?....nevermind...

Heh heh...

Thanks.

I read it and think "This has got to be so boring to most people."

Well not like the 70s. These days I can get the same sensations by standing up really fast...

Seems like a bad asian advertising campaign. Kind of like 'I feel Coke'.

I do recognize that, just not from the first run.

"I'd like to teach the world to sing...."

It's bad when you're having 70's flashbacks.

Most players can't stand Chinese Farmers (and few will admit they have bought gold from them. But to Americans it is not a bad deal.

"Doing the jobs Americans won't do" (tm). The Chinese are taking jobs away from hard-working illegal Mexicans.

70's flashbacks for me would involve naps, sucking my thumb, and making a mess in my pants.

I can see some people just deciding to live in the virtual world.

Sounds like a possible back-story for 'The Matrix'.

I also remember spilling coffee, trying to find out what would happen if I stuck a butter knife in an electric socket and biting the friend who stopped me, and digging holes at the beach to watch the ocean come up.

And seeing brother #2 for the first time.

Don't remember a lot else.

Just for the record.

I remember the 80s, at least. Some of it.
