Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Yep, and there is still room in the basement to dig the pit.

It is nice bonus points when your boss finds you still in the lab after hours. I am thinking those bonus points are lost when he finds you browsing the web and obviously have no tests running.

Can I go home now? :P

I made curtains for the living room to keep out nosy eyes

Talon had blankets hanging in the windows, right?

I am glad that being the oldest, I remember the poor years well so I don't expect the huge log home with beautiful kitchen and cathedral ceiling right off the bat :-D

Good point! Too many young couples get into trouble right off the bat by getting too far into debt trying to live the lifestyle to which their parents have gotten them accustomed.

Smart move! Get it all done so you're not working around furniture.

Yeah...that's the one. I've got a nice olive green in the living room and hall...goes well with the taupe.

Kids would be easy in this house, we would just put a few hooks in strategic walls and hang 'em up out of the way.

*snort*

Green and taupe were the 90's equivalent to the 80's blue and rose or peach. I'm not sure what this decade's colors have been.

The outplacement contractor was here to reassure everyone and tell us not to post our crappy resumes before they got a crack at 'em.

I just sent you a little map. It's basically just my neighborhood. Exit onto Memorial from 169 and go south (left under the overpass). Don't miss the Memorial exit...it's the last free one before the turnpike! Just come straight down Memorial, you'll see 101st, 111th, 121st and so on...every mile.

I just put fresh linens on your bed!

You're welcome! I don't put fresh linens on the bed for just anybody.
