I was telling Matthew that someday I'd be able to drive the Bug in a parade.
I said "Just think! You can throw candy at kids from the windows!"
He replied "Or from the floor pan!"
Later, I was standing out in the shop looking at it and Joshua came in, looked at it for a second and just roared with laughter. He said,
"It really does look like the Flintstone's car!"
I nodded and then he said, "Who's the Flintstones?"

Flintstones isn't still on in reruns? Bummer. It was one of my favorites :~)
Well, it probably is somewhere on cable...but we just have rabbit ears. I've never seen it on network TV.
I'll have to check out the library and see if they have any DVDs...they were my favorites too.

Dealing with all this fun paperwork and things so I can be gainfully employed. Just got back from the drug testing place. Since they won't let me start until that gets processed, it was pretty important.
Hmmm... now... taking a break, I need to make a shopping list.
I should have wireless where I'm staying. I've got to keep up with the blog.
Ungh. Izzit time to go home yet?
I have a doctor visit this afternoon. Fun fun. Just a nice check-up and getting me enrolled in the practice before I start work but...
Ugh, and I feel so lazy today! I have managed to do very little other than grocery shop, dinner prep, and the various new-job-related errands I've been running.
If you get too bored you can measure how much of that board your laptop will need to sit on.
Nothing much interesting going on here. Trying to reproduce a segmentation fault I caused earlier. I probably will not be out of here until 6 again. Stupid mandatory overtime.
I'm not bored, that's the problem. I'm just completely unmotivated. I think I may be fighting a tiny bit of a cold, that often saps my energy levels like this.
I probably won't be home before 5 anyway. Not sure how long the apt will take. Dinner is ready to cook whenever, it'll take ten minutes or less.
Ugh. No fun. Keep at it.... this overtime stuff really stinks. I am not a fan.
Off to the doctor. See you when you get home. Ugh... it has been way too long a day and I didn't even do anything. How did we manage to go weeks without seeing each other?
Beats the heck out of me. Today has already been a week. If it makes you feel any better I have not gotten much done either ;-p
