"Yo! Wazzup?"
to all...
You kilt the thread...
And me without a kilt picture!
Heh...apparently they put a big crop circle thing out in a field near where the car show is going to be in the shape of a big VW logo.
I can't wait, but I realize not everyone is as obsessed as I am.
Good! I'm glad you're still gainfully employed! You must be a very valuable employee...you've made it through a couple of layoffs, haven't you?
Steve has been really spiffing up the back yard...wants it to look nice for our company...
I know you said wazzup a couple of hours ago..but hi anyways.
Well, that does sound good...how did it turn out?
'Member when I was on that spoon bread kick? Heh heh...been a while back...I quit making it when Steve went low carb.
Good night, all.
This batch of dressing wasn't as good as I've made it before. I didn't have any celery, and had to rely on the ground celery seed in the poultry seasoning. And for some reason the corn bread didn't rise properly, so the end result was something like spoon bread, but it was yummy! I sprinkled the roaster with fresh ground pepper and kosher salt before baking. The skin was crispy and salty. Mmmm. It was crunchable AND tasty. ;o)
Mmmm!
I really am getting in the mood to try raising a few more meat chickens...that spinach outbreak just got me thinking about how good they were.
Steve planted 100 spinach seeds yesterday and I intend to plant some even in the front flower bed! LOL! We already have a horseradish out there.
Good morning Hobbit Hole!
Steve went to a Kimberly Clark Job Fair a few weeks ago and now they've sent him a letter inviting him to come to an Information Day. It's by invite only and he will learn more about KC and take some tests...so that's where he is right now.
KC is just a bit down the road from us...in Bixby (maybe Glenpool...anyway, nearby.)
I don't know if they even need environmental scientists...but maybe! ~shrug~
~sip~
Wow! We got a great loud thunderstorm early this morning!
Our grass is loving this nice cool rainy weather!
Good Morning All - bit of nice rain here. Looks like G'nad's area had some rough weather yesterday. St. James and Rolla.
Good news about the job fair - never hurts to follow up the leads, you never know where they can lead....
And in other news, today is our anniversary, 09-23-72. We're looking forward to many more anniversaries, it has truly been a wonderful journey. LSA is all one could hope for in a spouse. I've been truly blessed in so many ways.
Happy Anniversary! Have you got something special planned to celebrate?
We've got rain here...dunno if I'll get to work on windows or not. I was looking at the living room windows yesterday. In some places, the "glazing" doesn't look anything like DAP33. I'm guessing old caulk. I'm debating whether I should try to get the stuff off or wait for it to start detatching on it's own. I was going to check out the Lowe's in Roeland Park for snips and leather gloves and such but I might just put it off until I get my rot-fix stuff.
There might be no way around it this weekend....I'll have to do housework today!
(shoulda pinged LSAggie to thuh cake)
mornin'
Movin' slowly, but I got to get out to the yard. Got me a new John Deere self-propelled mower. Starts with a key.
I need to take a stab at the lawn thing and put some seed out.
The funny thing is that the neighbors (at least two of them) told me what a good job I've done with the yard. Heck, all I didn't do was scalp it during a drought and 100 degree temps.
Oh, lovely!
My mower that Steve got me for my birthday several years ago is not self-propelled and it takes more brute force than I've got to do the back part of our yard...it's on a little slope.
I really would like a riding mower...but don't really need one.
Woo-hoo! Sounds nice!
Not a lot planned here. I should really go out in search of winter tops today. We'll see how motivated I get. I hate trying on clothes.
Thanks very much for congrats and the cake. The cake looks great.
