I think Rush said 18-20 minutes into the show. I'm waiting as long as I can before switching from Brit (while listening to Mark Levin)...

Thank G*d, I can turn back to Fox now. I hate to say this, but even Rush can't save this turkey.
He packed a lot into his 90 seconds. Talked about telephone intercepts, undermining troops is not patriotism, people who are more upset about Abu Grabe than those trying to kill us, we must be united in this war, etc.
He looked good, too. Tanned, open white shirt, dark sport coat, earnest and confident presentation.
Every sentence was an encapsulation of what we say here on FR regarding the WOT. I'm elated many uninformed folks in the rest of the country heard this.
I'm reminded of how many of us heard Rush for the first time years ago. Remember how we said to ourselves...."My God, there's someone on radio that actually thinks like we do"?
Maybe there were some out in TV land who are saying the same thing after hearing Rush's great homily tonight.

This show should be renamed "The Today Show Light". I held my nose and tuned in to see Rush; as expected he was spot-on. The rest (leading up to Rush; I turned it off after him) awful.

I was the designated watcher at our house. Haven't watched CBS in years and after tonite, I will not revisit any time soon. Katie seems a decent person but honest to God, that was one very weak news presentation. FOX has got CBS so beat. In every category. RUSH was great and his message was all the way pro American and pro patriotism. His was the strongest part of the half hour. FOX and RUSH have got the bar raised so high that it is hard for me to pay attention to the lesser media.
I guess to "balance" the Limbaugh section, Katie opened with non-stop Bush bashing. That was just too obvious and really bad.
Rush did well...could have been excellent with simpler words.
It's sad Katie is such a liberal. She's holding her own as an anchor, would be enjoyable to watch if not such a mostly-slanted 30 minutes.
And it's a shame she would let CBS brass talk her into having surgery--her face was fine as it was.
CBS is really missing a grand opportunity here. If they would truly become a balanced evening news report, they would gain and keep a very, very large audience. But I guess their liberal mindset has too strong a hold on them to let that happen.
