Whew! That's for sure. Rush was fine..nothing new but probably news to the normal CBS viewer..
The instant he was through- I switched back to the sanity of Brit!

Baseball story.
Minor league team team gets its roster by fans voting on-line.
Old news at least 3 weeks.

Non story and its over.
"thanks for watching" was her close.
I guess she did not like our suggestions.

Someone help me out. I'm in Baltimore and don't see this airing for an another half an hour. How did everyone already see it?
I will say she made an idiotic opening statement saying Al Qaeda had hurt Bush's speech.
All terror, all the time.
I think I'm about to throw up.

Rush done good!
He packed a lot into his 90 seconds. Talked about telephone intercepts, undermining troops is not patriotism, people who are more upset about Abu Grabe than those trying to kill us, we must be united in this war, etc.
He looked good, too. Tanned, open white shirt, dark sport coat, earnest and confident presentation.
Every sentence was an encapsulation of what we say here on FR regarding the WOT. I'm elated many uninformed folks in the rest of the country heard this.
I'm reminded of how many of us heard Rush for the first time years ago. Remember how we said to ourselves...."My God, there's someone on radio that actually thinks like we do"?
Maybe there were some out in TV land who are saying the same thing after hearing Rush's great homily tonight.

This show should be renamed "The Today Show Light". I held my nose and tuned in to see Rush; as expected he was spot-on. The rest (leading up to Rush; I turned it off after him) awful.

I think with all the hoopla and the money they are paying her somebody forgot to put a show together. I've only watched snippets (all I can stand) in the last three days and this show is absolutely TERRIBLE. It's not a news show, it's not an interview show, it's not an entertainment show, it's a poorly thought out mishmash of unrelated junk. If this is the best they have to offer, look out below because the ratings for this monstrosity are going to fall off the cliff.
I look forward to reading what the rest of you think, because I just can't watch it. Something about it just grates on me every second it is on. Murrow is doing about 3,000 RPM right now.

My mistake, I thought she was live.
Great piece by Rush. Ridiculously horrible newscast.

I was the designated watcher at our house. Haven't watched CBS in years and after tonite, I will not revisit any time soon. Katie seems a decent person but honest to God, that was one very weak news presentation. FOX has got CBS so beat. In every category. RUSH was great and his message was all the way pro American and pro patriotism. His was the strongest part of the half hour. FOX and RUSH have got the bar raised so high that it is hard for me to pay attention to the lesser media.

It is miserable, I would rather watch CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, or MTV.
But, Brit still rules. I will continue with him.

Her face looks totally smooth, no wrinkles. Her eyes on Tuesday (I can't stand to watch after that) look sunken and highlighted all around with black, probably eye-liner. Did not look good with her light hair and white jacket. I could have done her up better. What are these people at CBS going for with her look?
