PARIS (Hilton)BUSTED FOR DUI
TMZ . com ^ | 7 SEPT 2006 | TMZ Staff

Paris Hilton was arrested in Hollywood early Thursday and charged with driving under the influence.

TMZ has learned LAPD officers noticed Paris driving her Mercedes McLaren SLR erratically at 12:31 AM and stopped her. They believed she exhibited signs of intoxication. We're told they administered a field sobriety test, and Paris blew a .08. In California, driving with a .08 blood alcohol level is the minimum level for DUI.

Paris was arrested and taken to the LAPD Hollywood division, where she was booked. The officers who stopped the car did not know it was Paris Hilton until they approached the vehicle on foot. Police sources say she was cooperative. Paris had a passenger in the car -- Kimberly Stewart, Rod Stewart's daughter.

Emaciated little trollop, who the hell sees anything redeeming in that pinched, smug face? She should be bundled up and tossed on the streets of Mogadishu or Calcutta to live among the homeless.

Who the heck said they weren't?

So why are you quibbling with 0.08? Or are you contending there is some huge difference between 0.08 and 0.1?

I am just using the 0.1 figure, because that is the only number I have direct empirical experience with. I would imagine my condition would be fairly similar at four fifths of that blood alcohol content.

It is not a quibbling amount, but that is beside the point. The point is, the problem should be addressed correctly. Get at those who are causing the biggest part of the problem, watch the problem largely dissipate, and then if you must, work on the margins.

Most of these laws were about pandering to people who actually want to have another prohibition, in exchange for power. And they are about,,,you got it,,,MONEY.

They were not about a logical approach to the problem.

10% of the people cause 90% of the problems. (I made those numbers up) Remove them and you have made the biggest impact on the problem.

That is my point, and I know I made it clear if you actually read my posts.

When you hit 0.05 most people will show noticeable impairment in operating a vehicle. Your reaction time is slowed and that can mean life or death when you are behind the wheel.

Her daily BAC is probably .13

Which is only slightly lower than her IQ.

Don't you mean higher?

How many of the people who cause DUI accidents are 0.05?

How many hours of sleep per night does one need before there is a noticeable impairment in operating a vehicle?

Statistics can show whatever you want them to show.

My guess is is about 1%. Your second question needs to be reversed. Its not how much but how little. What you are trying to say is that a lot of accidents (60% or more) do not involve alcohol. And your third point is sort of true. So are you saying statistics have no value because of that or that we should be wary of how they are used? I think the 60 percent figure indicates driving in and of itself is a risky thing and alcohol doesn't exactly improve your odds any.

My guess is is about 1%.

Based on what?

What you are trying to say is that a lot of accidents (60% or more) do not involve alcohol.

No I'm not. I'm asking; of all the accidents which are actually caused by alcohol impaired people, not "have involvement", how many of that group were 0.05?

driving in and of itself is a risky thing and alcohol doesn't exactly improve your odds any.

I agree. Which however, has nothing to do with my original point.

So are you saying statistics have no value because of that or that we should be wary of how they are used?

I'm saying that using them to make a point can lead to incorrect conclusions depending on which ones are used and which ones omitted. Better to work with concepts and ideas when possible.

She is blaming In N Out burger....and the paparrazzi.

>>>Just hours after her arrest on suspicion of DUI, Paris Hilton called into the On Air with Ryan Seacrest show on LA's KIIS-FM this morning and told Ryan that she may have been driving a little fast in her Mercedes McLaren SLR, but it was only because she wanted a burger.

In N Out isnt open that late....the spin wars begin!
