You were pretty close to 'on the money' with the WVU/Marshall game. Hope your prediction is just as good this week. Although I thought Coach Rodriguez left him in too long, Slaton got 204 yds. White played like he was on cruise control. A lotta poise in that lad.

Ohio State 25 – Texas 22

I think that that is too low. I think OSUs offense may well score much more than that, but I agree, that unless it's technical corrections that can be done between weeks, that OSUs defense is going to get mauled by Texas. Expect that, at least during some 8-10 minute part of the game, that there will be 28-35 points scored.

I've got a good feeling about Ohio State. The buckeyes are the sexy pick to lose according to sports talk guru's. This year its Texas who has to deal with off the field distractions. They also lost a special teams player.

Hey Mike my tixs to Penn State game are in the south stands (the last time I was there they really were stands).

Next week is the big week. I think there are 8 games pitting top 25 teams against each other.

Look for the Wolverines to blow out Central Michigan. Their outing against Vanderbilt last weekend was disappointing, and if they read the papers about the game they will look to impress this week.

Prediction: Michigan 44 Central Michigan 10

A little homer vision on the OSU-Texas game? Emmm, I think OSU's D looked pretty shaky, Texas by 7. I dont think, well to me anyways, PSU beating ND will be much of an upset, I think the Irish are incredibly overrated. Nevada upsetting ASU is my sleeper upset, ASU looked rather weak in there opener and unless Koetter makes some adjustments they will be beaten by a secent Nevada team. Oh and I think California will come out with all guns blazing looking to prove themselves over Minnesota.

Mike, I really appreciate starting this ping list. Using my keen powers of observation I see you expect the favorites to cover the spread in all but your two upsets and one other game...Michigan. Got something against the Wolverines?

I think I'm rooting for OSU in the "big game" this weekend, but only because I think they'll lose to Michigan at the end of the season.

GO NOLES! (And, oh yeah, GO GOLDEN KNIGHTS!)

Thanks for posting this and nice job.

I think the UGA and South Carolina game will be closer than you think. SC defense is alot better than last year's, and if they upset Georgia, that wouldn't surprise me.

Assuming he makes no mistakes, which is a hard thing to do in a game like this, Texas will win outright. Ohio State’s offense won’t make very many mistakes either, but their defense is the major question mark of this game. Ohio State 25 – Texas 22

It puts OHIO states defense all over the page as the question mark, and puts the TEXAS offense better than that at home, but yet they give Ohio state with the same score that Hook "Em Horns beat 'em by last year. Go figure!

Cal losing would not be an upset in my mind. This team was VASTLY overrated to begin the season. I don't think they have really recovered from being left out of the BCS two seasons ago - only to get clobbered by my Red Raiders in the Holiday Bowl.

As for last weeks games, those TCU Horned Frogs escaped Baylor . . . . . . barely. They won't be so lucky when they host Texas Tech in a week or two.
