Isn't there a reason why it's free? Not very computer savvy, but couldn't there be bugs, or does it stop after some time?

Yeah, this is like an open beta test.

Chances are it will stop after 365 days, least that is what I have seen in the past.

its not bad, its a LOT better than the BETA2 version that they released last time. IF you still have the Vista Beta2 Serial #
ITS the same.

It expires June 1, 2007. Meaning that you'll have basically four choices:

a.) Go out and buy a copy of Vista
b.) Figure out a hack that will let it run past then.
c.) Install a new OS. At which point one could either reinstall XP or try out Linux.
d.) Get a new computer (i.e. Mac)

I am a developer and I finally had to take it off by laptop. Not my main laptop... My testing laptop. I put XP back on it. At least it will run with XP. This version of Windows will make the Millennium version look like robust code.

This disaster follows the old line that says for every bug fixed 1.3 bugs are introduced.

The network stuff is screwed up beyond belief.
