A case made for the death penalty, which NY doesn't have, unfortunately.

If I understood perfesser McCoy on "Law & Order", actually New York State does have the death penalty for "special circumstances" and this one might just qualify.

They did have special circumstances, and the murder of a cop was one of them, but when was the last time they actually used it?
