They did have special circumstances, and the murder of a cop was one of them, but when was the last time they actually used it?

Dunno the last time New York State kilt some scumbag, they've had lots that deserve it, but Connecticut recently executed a creep who killed two young women. Once you do one, and like it, you could turn into Texas.

I kinda suspect that this guy will never live to see the inside of a courtroom again.

I'm pretty sure this is the current situation, NY State has NO death penalty on the books right now, even with a copkiller in death row who will probably do life in prison now.
