Oh, come on now. We aren't allowed to poke fun at the foolishness of the press? You missed my point, RS. I don't give damn number one about Karr. To be blunt, I don't even give damn number one about the Ramsey case. It's sad, but it's one murder out of hundreds of thousands. The media turned it into a circus. The Ramseys were a couple of whack-jobs who turned their 4-year-old little girl into a beauty pageant whore. Now that's sick and unjust. But there is no indictment of such beauty pageants anywhere in sight, is there? The gist of my post was that the whole story was indicative of the shallowness of the media- and perhaps also of our culture, since Americans have been so damned obsessed with the "whodunit" side of this case while completely ignoring the root of the problem. Go ahead and call me a victim of the knee-jerk disease. You're wrong, and you missed my point.

The media focuses its white-hot heat over here, and most people predictably flock over here. Then the media turns and focuses it's heat over there, and the flock dutifully turns and looks over there. Millions of people are little more than lemmings who walk on two feet.
